I am experiencing the exact same problems as listed in this topic https://forum.antergos.com/topic/7363/system-boots-to-blackscreen-after-major-update/
I have the same laptop and the same problem. I get to the splash screen where I can choose to install, but when pressing it I get a black screen. I have tried booting with
nomodesetand/or and/or removing
quiet splashbut still same problem. When I do att
nomodesethowever, I can press ctrl+alt+f1-6 and see the tty for a few seconds before the screen goes black again.
As noted in the topic linked, it seems to be a kernel problem, is there any way I can still install Antergos (older install media or something)? Or should I just wait for the kernel to be updated and hopefully fixed?
Sorry to necro this post, but I have the same laptop and want to install Antergos(again). However, I cannot even boot the usb installer. I try to add nomodeset, which then allows me, for just a second or two, to see the tty when pressing ctrl+alt+f1-f6. The rest of the time I see a black screen with a flashing cursor. Any help is warmly welcome!
