hello dear Manuel -
i installed Antergos Version 18.8 and all goes very very well - the touch- and clickpad works very good.
i am very glad that Antergos works so nicely.
note_: no other linux distribution does such agreat job - neither ubuntu nor manjaro,.
keep up the great work - it rocks
hello you both many thanks for the quick reply.
hello again - many many thanks
ive downloaded the Antergos Version 18.8 and in the Live-Demo-Version all goes well - the Touchpad / clickpad works very very well.
Note - this notebook seems to have issues with the clickpad / touchpad has got issues with
- opensuse leap
- and manjaro
with manjaro i am trying to nail down the issues - at the moment i try to do some corrections in X11 … see below.
if this (manjaro support) does not help (and if i still stuck within the issues) then i will stick to Antergos _ which is very convincig so far.
have agreat day
hello dear Manuel - many thanks for the quick reply. i am glad to hear from you.
i was having issue - as I’m trying to install Antegros 18.7 (currently the latest) using the 64 bit live (KDE) version.
When I’m trying to install antergos everything works very good until I hit next after filling out the computer name and username/password and after that i just get “Can’t create download package list. Check log output for details”. - Well this has been discussed several times so far.

i have used the 64 bit live and minimal iso files downloaded today - to install on a Notebook.

Question : should i download a new iso and try it out with another or not!?

In other words - can i try out with the same USB.Stick with the installer-medium
as the menbers of the developement team and user mentioned in this thread - the new and improved version was released -
now we have the antergos Version 18.8 - is this true!? - - guess so.
today i have downloaded the new version the Antergos version 18.8 - and i am going to try it out later the evening
hello dear all,
where can i find a antergos download (KDE_version)
btw here you suggest some methods / ways to create a live - usb.
can i use
- win32 Diskimager
to do the job correctly
several weeks ago i have created a live-version on USB which worked very well - but
during the intallation i run into troubles:
now i will try again to create a usb-stick to test Antergos on my notebook Akoya E 4254
i will try out your recommended tools - or even will use Linux to create this stick
love to hear from you
hello dear Antergos Experts - dear community,
looking for a Notebook that has the following criterias:
17 inch display, running without a cooler-fan or with a very silent one linux-capable - i want to run Systems like Manjaro, OpenSuse - not just Ubuntu or mint..
can you suggest one !?
love to hear from you
hello dear all
many thanks for the reply -
Glad you “solved” it. I think it still has to do with the
hunspell-esrenaming package. Now you have
hunspell-es_XX(for all variants) and
hunspell-es_any(a generic variant).
I’ll have to look into it.
it would be more than great if this fix would be available for all the user out there .
in other words - a fix that will be incorporated into the current final version of antergos would be the best thing…
then - if we have this fixed version i would be more than glad - and would try to install it here
WELL THIS IS a very sad sad story.,
iam in need of a operating system for my notebook.
i am the threadstartet - istarted with
a live version 3 Weeks ago - i t ested a antergos - as a live system. It was great - and even the
trackall & mouse system was working ood
Note - with many many other linux distros i had no luck -
the mose and tracking pad did ot work in / with / live system.
But withantergos all wennt great
So - i would love to install the antergos completly - but is this possible!?
Did you have fixed the issues
Lover to hear from you
this is a sad sad sad story - i am the threadstarter - i have posted this issue two weekes before. And for the issues i run into -
After having made the above mentioned experiene - i immitieatlley sopped the installation - since it did not work for me.
Note: Besides that - havei
hello dear folks,
my notebook (akoya e4254) the touchpad and clickpad mouse is not working at all.
with antergos i was luckily able to run a live version - all was working fine.
but with the installation i run into troulbes
well after this i did not try to fully install antergos.
i tried it with Manjaro - but - as the most linux-distros - with manjaro also did not work the mouse and clickpad…
here in this path i have the both files:
see the path; /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/
[[email protected] xorg.conf.d]$ ls -l
-rw-r–r-- 1 root root 266 24. Jul 23:52 00-keyboard.conf
-rw-r–r-- 1 root root 0 26. Jul 22:38 30-touchpad.conf
and the 11-evdev.conf file…
but as it is not working untill now - i thougth that it would be a good idea to look at the antergos distribution - and to see whats in the x11 - folder.
do you think that we can look at this - and learn what has to be there!?
love to hear from you
