I completely blacklisted “nouveau” driver. Everything was working until now…
I did a full update using “pacman -Syu” and rebooted after.
Now my screen is all black but I’m able to use tty with CTRL+SHIFT+F*
I printed the last logs here: https://pastebin.com/raw/5y06P0i2
Some ACPI errors:
Any thoughts? How can I prevent this from the future :)
Thanks for the support
I think I found my problem. I was booting on the USB not the efi partition from the hard drive. So now, I’m trying to find the efi folder to boot on but there is nothing, it’s empty inside FS0. I don’t know why, because I created a “boot/efi/” folder during the installing and it’s formatted in fat32.
Does my formatting is good? Do I need grub or something?
I also tried to install Antergos directly on my main HD but it’s still not working.
Basically, I just want to run Antergos. The problems I am facing are related to my graphics card, I think. The screen is flickering sometimes, black screen etc.
Should I use my integrated graphics card instead? If I can, how can I disable the Nvidia card?
Thanks for help guys.
Dell XPS 9570 - Stuck on the Antergos white background logo
I’ve just bought a new Dell XPS 2018 and I decided to erase Windows 10 and install Antergos.
By default, I was not able to get to the installation but only after changing the kernel options to acpi_osi=! acpi_osi=“Windows 2009” everything is working as expected and I able to install Antergos.
After rebooting, in my BIOS Boot Sequence settings, I created a new Boot option and selected efi/boot (EFI/boot/loader.efi).
I’m now able to have the Antergos Black screen after booting but when I select Antergos x86_64 I’m stuck on the white Antergos logo background.
Is there a way to boot the normal installation with acpi_osi=! acpi_osi=“Windows 2009” like during my installation?
Is there a way to logs/debug even if I’m not having any OS installed?
Much help will be appreciated and thank you in advance!![alt text](image url)
