Hi All Antergos Heroes !
I have tried setting up OpenVPN.
It runs great until I get the following error:
... ERROR: Cannot open TUN/TAP dev /dev/net/tun: No such device (errno=19)
Being an Arch-Novice I resort to blindly follow advice on the internet:
[[email protected] openvpn]$ sudo modprobe tun modprobe: FATAL: Module tun not found in directory /lib/modules/4.11.9-1-ARCH [[email protected] openvpn]$ find /lib/modules/ -iname 'tun.ko.gz' /lib/modules/4.12.3-1-ARCH/kernel/drivers/net/tun.ko.gz /lib/modules/4.9.40-1-lts/kernel/drivers/net/tun.ko.gz [[email protected] openvpn]$ sudo insmod /lib/modules/4.12.3-1-ARCH/kernel/drivers/net/tun.ko.gz insmod: ERROR: could not insert module /lib/modules/4.12.3-1-ARCH/kernel/drivers/net/tun.ko.gz: Invalid module format
In summary it looks like I have the tun module on my machine but I am too incompetent to get it working :(
Anyone knows what to do ??
I greatly appreciate any help !
Hi @joekamprad … that is great news !
I think I will just wait for Gnome 3.24. I am not comfortable trying out the unstable version.
I will regard this for now as solved. Once the update have arrived I will update this thread.
Thank you, the support for Antergos is amazing :D
Hello Antergos People
Some of my applications seems to be in Arabic.
I have checked that my language and region setting are correct in Gnome settings. (English and Denmark)
I have also checked tweak-tools that my fonts are correct.
The font appearing in my applications seems to be A-Bismillah (see screenshot)
The applications affected are MediaElch, Deepin Music, Openshot and KdenLIve (Another screendump)
Please help, as this makes my programs unusable.
Hi Kind Antergos People
My album art does not show up in gnome music but does show up in other applications like Rhytmbox.
The cover art is placed inside the music folders as folder.jpg
What I have tried:
- Uninstall and reinstall gnome-music
- run “tracker-preferences” - untick …/Music from locations - click apply - retick music - click apply again.
… to no avail :(
Does anyone know what could be wrong?
PS: I am not a poweruser, so I might have messed something basic up
Thanks in advance !
@moredoor Wow, You are right. I just looked through my history. And it sais that I have removed a number of packages. I was only aware of removing a few unused programs like pidgin and brasero. but it also lists a number of other packages.
I will reinstall them ASAP. Thanks for the help !
Hello Antergos People
I am quite new to the distro and not a power user. This installation is the second time I install Antergos.
My first installation was perfect, which made me LOVE Antergos and Arch.
As I Installed Antergos everything seemed fine but afterwards several packages was missing ?!
And example is: “gnome-control-center”, without which i could not open “settings”. In general my system acts a bit weird and I am suspecting that more missing packages are the culprit. Example is: “create link” in “nautilus” does nothing when pressed.
Is there a way for me to get a list of all packages that should have been installed. or to fix this in some other (easier) way.
Thanks for guidance !
