Yeah. Already tried all these.
I also officially need only to change these: peap, mschapv2, [email protected] , password. Telekom root ca2 is already installed but I can also use it.
The eduroam installer only works under root rights else it fails to copy. But changes nothing in terms of connectivity. Also I did reboot after using the eduroam script.
Well at least it works for other eduroam institutes. I could try to change the building where I connect from and report back. Maybe a support mail could help also.
At least for now I will only test it via live distribution. I already changed my distro.
Hi i am studying at Hochschule Darmstadt, we use eduroam. It worked until i recently reinstalled my antergos box. And it still does not work.
On my installed machine it does not work, and even under the latest installation media stick it does not work. I use the gnome desktop with gnome network manager. The same as the installation media. I even reference the Deutsche Telekom Root CA 2.pem location and everything.
Currently i am trying it out under an elementary os live disk UBUNTU16.04 based. and it works. Without a charm.
Would love to hear some feedback
After the update to Gnome 3.20 the lightdm shutdown Buttons have errors. In the tweak tool i cannot activate them. Sometimes they disappear. After clicking of shutdown i have to wait ca. 20 seconds before the shutdown window comes up and i can click shutdown or reboot. I think it needs retweaking.
well i didn’t have the time to wait. i just installed arch and used a script to install everything else. So the process took some time but I am now at a machine working great. If i find some time on the weekend i could take a clonezilla backup and try reinstalling antergos and see if it works this time.
Today I installed Antergos, The minimal and the standard iso. Via USB Stick(with and without USBDiskwriter, both worked the same) on my Acer 5755g. Bios is legacy and not UEFI, i could enable UEFI, but Windows and the drive is still using mbr,. So that doesnt need to be done.
During installation it warns me, that Grub did not install.
In terminal i see some kind of swap error.
After reboot nothing works.
For troubleshooting i followed these steps:
mount /dev/sda5 /mnt
mount -t proc proc /mnt/proc
mount -t sysfs sys /mnt/sys
mount -o bind /dev /mnt/dev
mount -t devpts pts /mnt/dev/pts/
grub-install --recheck /dev/sda
grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
after these steps i can reboot into windows and/or start my antergos. But it doesn’t login at all.
I am hopelessly trying to start a prompt. but this also doesn’t work. After every login attempt it gets back onto the login screen.
Seems very buggy for me… Worked before on version 0.6 or something.
here are my logs. They are too big for this forum. I just put in everything i found in /var/logs
I die a fresh install of antergos.
I habe an acer 5755g with unlocked bios. I can Boot in uefi but i still usw mbt and old BIOS Boot.
After installing i geht an error. Could not install grub bootloader. Something swap.
After reboot nothing there. No grub working. I used the manjaro wiki https://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php/Restore_the_GRUB_Bootloader
And followed the mounting steps etc. After installing grub a quick grub-mkconfig … And it boots again.
Only Problem is now that it does not Start. After login the display manager just quits again…
So i am back in Windows. It still works. And typing my findings here in my phone.
Man i could not find this ca 2 hours ago. Had to remove lightdm completly and am now using gdm. Works fine for me. I already once had a lightdm greeter update error like this. And also had to resolve it with gdm, because i could not find anything about it.
