Mr. Poopybutthole: Oooohwee! Whatever you want, Rick, we're here to help!
Rick: Thanks, Mr. Poopybutthole. I always could count on you.
Hmm, okay, I may be taking your advice afterall and use radio connected keyboard. I bought a regular USB connected keyboard this Friday, but yesterday I spilled like 200 ml acetone on it… This was apparently not good for the keyboard…
Thanks for all the help, as usual, joekamprad!
Hmm, okay, thanks!
I tried to remove the headset (but I use it often so it would not work for me to only be able to use one of the devices at a time) but this did not help.
But I have been able to use my old apple BT keyboard at the same time as my headset and Apple BT mouse.
I have looked at the arch wiki page aswell, tried their solution for keyboard connects and disconnects (under troubleshooting). This also did not help.
Okay, you mean bluetooth is crappy overall? I prefer BT because I only have one USB-C in my laptop, so I would have to use the adapter and connect a dongle thru that, so that would be more things I would have to carry with me to the university. Which I dont really want.
But as I said, I had the same problem with my apple keyboard before, and suddenly it started working perfectly. It was at the same time I had some problems with my graphics (which I made a thread about here) and I concluded that the extensions caused the trouble. But I also downgraded the kernel.
Is there any list of devices that surely works with antergos/arch?
Yes, of course, I’m sorry that I forgot it in the original post!
Information on keyboard from bluetoothctl cmd info [dev].
Name: Bluetooth Keyboard Alias: Bluetooth Keyboard Class: 0x00002540 Icon: input-keyboard Paired: no Trusted: no Blocked: no Connected: no LegacyPairing: no RSSI: -62
OS: Arch Linux Kernel: x86_64 Linux 4.15.2-1-ARCH Packages: 1211 Shell: bash 4.4.19 DE: GNOME WM: GNOME Shell CPU: Intel Core i7-7500U @ 4x 3.5GHz [48.0°C] GPU: intel RAM: 4842MiB / 7864MiB
journalctl does not print out anything when the keyboard connects and disconnects.
So I bought a $10 BT generic apple keyboard from ebay, now when I’m trying to connect it (there is no dongle) using bluetoothctl I can pair it, change status to trusted and then when I connect it it connects for a few seconds, and then disconnects. So I can use it for these few seconds until it disconnects… I had the same problem a few months ago with my apple magic mouse, and my JBL reflect BT headset, but this resolved itself after a while (?)…
Anyone know how to get my new keyboard to work?
Have tried both Quartus prime free 17.1 and now 16.1. Have tried downloading from their page and installing, as well as trying with pamac. Pictures shows error messages:
Sorry if the thread is misplaced if so I would appreciate if a moderator would move it to a more suitable subsection!
