• Change power button functionality?

I tried the Deepin distro before, and pressing the power button on the computer then used to bring up the “logout / restart / shutdown / whatever” menu. On Antergos / Deepin, the computer instantly turns off if I press the power button. Does anyone know how to change this behaviour?

  • this will need an option inside power settings of deepin, as we have this in Gnome or other DE

    Hi!
I don’t know, but i use oblogout here, it’s possibe to cofigure it to behaviour any way you want, add more buttoms, remove buttoms.

So I take it that the deepin devs needs to add support for this? Did anyone request it? I’d be happy to do so but it seems something that every distro supplying Deepin DE would need, so I’m guessing this had been requested (and denied?) already.

  • do you already search inside settings?
Do you take a look into google searching for this?
May someone already ask for this or there is a way to change this …

I do not use deepin at all but i have VM installed so i can take a look…

  • I did google the issue and found people asking the same thing, but no resolution. I also tried the dconf editor and found the flag “com.deepin.dde.power power-button-pressed-exec” that correctly points to “dde-shutdown” (which is the logout screen I want) but it seems arch somehow overrides this.

  • Enter in terminal (Ctrl+T) and execute:

    sudo echo "HandlePowerKey=ignore" | sudo tee -a /etc/systemd/logind.conf

    Reboot system and ready.

Just wanted to say - THANK YOU! Been looking everywhere for this. Works like a charm :). It’s SO annoying if you just happen to touch the power key for a tenth of a second, it powers down and all your work is lost. My cat has probably restarted my laptop 20 times in the last month :). Problem solved!
