• Broadcom 4360 Wireless driver (MB Pro late 2013, 13 inch)

    Hi.

I have just come to Antergos from Fedora because of the wireless driver not working.

I see even more troubles getting it to work in Antergos.

    It really is frustrating!

My parameters are in the title and the tutorial on ArchWiki did not help me the least bit.

I would really appreciate if SOMEONE COULD JUST TELL ME EASY STEPS TO GET IT WORKING.
    Thanks

  • Follow the steps in (https://forum.antergos.com/topic/9447/macbook-pro-retina-mid-2014-help) from the OP’s second post in the thread and Joekamprad’s post. It deals with a later Macbook, but the wireless card is the same.

Everybody is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing its stupid.

  • Do you have a working internet connection on the device?
    Then simple install driver package:

    sudo pacman -S broadcom-wl

    remove the opensource driver module:

    sudo rmmod brcmsmac

    and load the newly installed:

    sudo modprobe wl

If not you will need to save the driver package to usb stick and install it manually from there:

    https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/broadcom-wl/download/

    sudo pacman -U broadcom-wl-6.30.223.271-15-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

[updates once a week] = [90% less problems]
