• How to recover and install missing default antergos packages?

In an unfortunate event of cleaning my system, I ran the following command which as per arch Linix wiki is for Removing unused packages -orphans

    pacman -Rns $(pacman -Qtdq)

This removed some of the core packages like gnome-terminal and file -manager etc. I wanted to know if there is a way I can check, recover and install core antergos packages?

Packages.xml file is used by Cnchi to install all Antergos core and application packages, for all DEs. Cnchi installs nothing more and nothing less than listed in packages.xml.

Use it to re-install missing packages.

An easy way to quickly re-install everything is to install Antergos meta packages. Their names are present in packages.xml. They’re suffixed with -meta.

  • Antergos meta packages and their content (packages) are found here.

Read meta packages’ PKGBUILDs to see all packages included in it.
