• Converting Bare Arch installation to Antergos

    Hi,
    I have a bare Arch installation that I use with i3. I would like to install Antergos on top of that. I believe it should be possible.
    After going through the posts here, I have done the following steps:

    pacman -U antergos-keyring-20170524-1-any.pkg.tar.xz
    sudo pacman-key --init archlinux antergos && sudo pacman-key --populate archlinux antergos

    And added the following line to my /etc/pacman.conf

    [antergos]
    SigLevel = PackageRequired
    Usage = All
    Server = http://mirrors.antergos.com/$repo/$arch

    After that I did pacman -Syy and now I can see antergos packages.
    I would like to install the gnome desktop version, which package should I install? There is no antergos-gnome package, but there is antergos-gnome-meta. Are they both same?

    Regards

    Hi!

    if you installed antergos-keyring and antergos-mirrorlist you can let pacman.conf read directly from file, i mean like bellow:

    [antergos]
    SigLevel = PackageRequired
    Include = /etc/pacman.d/antergos-mirrorlist

    I would like to install the gnome desktop version, which package should I install? There is no antergos-gnome package, but there is antergos-gnome-meta. Are they both same?

    They may not be the same, cause it’s the Antergos version of gnome, which may bring another packages and aditional configs. (gnome + antergos stuf)

    Antergos devs are experimenting this “meta” alternative; all necessary packages will be installed but as a dependency of antergos-gnome-meta
