    Hello, I have some packages I would like to install from AUR, however Yaourt will not install. Here’s the error I keep getting:

  • Try removing the cache and installing again

    sudo pacman -Scc

    Just tried this and it returns the same error after attempting to install Yaourt.

    yajl comes from the Arch Linux extra repo. It may have a problem with the signature; some files may. But you may try installing the archlinux-keyring file (if you haven’t already) to test this theory.

    Then I suggest you run pacman -Syy to re-update all repos, then try installing yaourt again.

    If that doesn’t work, then you you may try editing the pacman.conf file under /etc as root.
    Find the area:

    # By default, pacman accepts packages signed by keys that its local keyring
    # trusts (see pacman-key and its man page), as well as unsigned packages.
    SigLevel = Optional DatabaseOptional
    LocalFileSigLevel = Optional
    #RemoteFileSigLevel = Required

    and make the changes as you see them.

    Hope this is the answer you are looking for, and works well for you.
