• .uuid files being created ~/.fonts

I’m begun seeing a lot of “.uuid” files being created in ~/.fonts. I’m not exactly sure what’s creating them, or why they’re being created, and Google doesn’t seem to know either, since it can’t differentiate between UUID for filesystems, and “.uuid” files.

If I delete them, they return within 5 minutes or so.

I’m running the KDE desktop, on Antergos. my ~/.fonts is symlinked from a config directory that I manage with git. (Hence why I even noticed this)

Anyone seen this and know what’s going on?

  • @joekamprad Well, that does at least tell me the culprit. I don’t however, see anything in the documentation about disabling this functionality.

Or is that not possible to do without uninstalling fontconfig?
