• Stuck on a lightdm login loop

    Hello!

First time asking help, so sorry if i seem a bit green.

Since yesterday my main user (ricardo) is stuck in a loop on the Lightdm login screen.

    I’ve follow, mainly, this thread.

    And made teh following changes/tests.

    • I went into the terminal and i can login from there
    • I also have been able to create a new user that can login in the Lightdm screen without a problem
    • I’ve chmod and chown all my user (ricardo) home
    • I have changed lightdm for gdm, and the problem is the same

Right now i’m out of ideas. Can someone help me?

  • This is my lightdm.log

The journal log seems to big for the post. Can i put it as a attached file?

  • Managed to solve it.

CTRL + ALT + F2 to get to terminal, and loggin has root

    pacman -S gdm

    systemctl disable lightdm

    systemctl enable gdm

    pacman -Rsc lightdm

    pacman -Syyuu

Now i have GDM insted of LightDM, but from what i read online LightDM dosen’t behave weel with Gnome.
