  • Well, I found interesting information about this issue, to me some time ago also happened to me (Gnome Antergos) … now in kde anymore:

    [b:vmng3fn3]Fix it by running pwck[/b:vmng3fn3]

    x220:~$ sudo pwck
    user ‘umurmur’: directory ‘/home/umurmur’ does not exist
    pwck: no changes
    x220:~$ pacman -Ss umurmur
    community/umurmur 0.2.14-1
    Minimalistic Mumble server
    x220:~$ sudo vim /etc/passwd
    x220:~$ sudo pwck
    no matching password file entry in /etc/passwd
    delete line ‘umurmur:!:16094::::::’? yes
    pwck: the files have been updated

  • thanks for the info hector but do you know what is making it do this or whats it related too?

  • The shadow service for group passwords is relatively new (a couple months). To correct the issue check the journal log and find which program the error is related to and then reinstall the necessary package for the program with pacman. That should be all you have to do

    Best Regards,
    Dustin

  • i will give that a look.

    thanks Dustin
