Haha I agree, got the OnePlus One when it first came out and loved it. It broke a couple months ago and now rocking a OnePlus 3 as well. And still loving it so far. The amount of hardware you get for the price is unbelievable, and would prob stick with OnePlus for a long time unless a better competitor comes into the market.

  • Nexus 5X with LineageOS 15.1 (which is ~ Oreo 8.1).
Works quite well considering it has only 2GB of RAM.

  • @thebacondaddy you really do get great value with oneplus and they seem to have very high build quality. i still have my oneplus one not sure what ill do with it. i would have stuck with my one but wanted wifi calling but the hardware upgrade was very nice.

google is really stingy with the Ram :D but thanks to software like LineageOS keeps it running smooth 👍

Old phones could be used e.g. to connect other wifi devices to the internet (wifi tethering) when no better (traditional wired wifi router) ways are available. That’s what I’m doing sometimes.

One software that is at least for now not working with LineageOS 15.1 is Profile Shortcuts for LineageOS (PSLOS for short). It used to work with LineageOS 14.1. The creator has fortunately promised to make a new release, hopefully soon.

It is an invaluable addition to Tasker (which can be programmed to automate practically everything on a phone) or similar tools, since PSLOS lets you access System Profiles feature on LineageOS. System Profiles (only on LineageOS afaik) can do many things Android would not allow without rooting.
