• External Hard Drive

Yes I currently run Fedora on an external hard drive. I was wondering can I install Antergos to an external hard drive or no? My main issue is when I tried to install Ubuntu to exernal hard drive it would always install grub to the internal hard drive instead of the external.

Also pretty new to Antergos what partitions should I make?

  • You will need one partition for / (root) with more then 8 GB best is around 35GB

If you want seperate /home create one, if you have less RAM like less the 4 GB creating swap with minimum 4 GB is a good idea.

If external HD is plugged via USB i am not sure if it shows the option to create bootloader on to this device, but should work.

  • Thank you for your help. I will give it a try.
