• Multiboot iso live with grub, default keyboard layout AZERTY

Thx to @manuel I managed to setup a grub menuentry to boot the live iso. Here it is. As you can see I try to but it with an azerty default keyboard layout. I tried a couple of options that work on with Lubuntu/LinuxMint live ISOs ( pkeys=fr setkmap=fr bootkbd=fr console-setup/layoutcode=fr ) but it doesn’t work with antergos. Any ideas how I could achieve this ?

    set isofile=/ISOs/antergos-18.2-x86_64.iso
    search --set --file $isofile
    probe -l $root --set=volumelabel
    set img_dev=/dev/disk/by-label/$volumelabel
    set azerty="pkeys=fr setkmap=fr bootkbd=fr console-setup/layoutcode=fr"
    loopback loop $isofile
    linux (loop)/arch/boot/vmlinuz img_dev=$img_dev img_loop=$isofile $azerty
    initrd (loop)/arch/boot/archiso.img

    Hello again! 😉

Found this Arch talk article, maybe helpful or not, haven’t tried.
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Talk:GRUB#Custom_keyboard_layout

And this says (in the end) that it is not possible:

Please report issues including all details! ;-)

  • @manuel As far as I can understand these articles deal with the keyboard layout when using the grub console, before the ISO is launched. But as for me, I never use the grub console, I’m interested in the default keyboard layout when the OS is loaded from the ISO. Ubuntu based live ISOs are configurable with setkmap=fr bootkbd=fr but that didn’t work on other ISOs.
