• (Solved) Gnome Music question

I installed Gnome Music and am trying to figure out how to bring in album art. I know in Rhythmbox you can drag and drop album art after starting a song from the album. This does not work running Antergos.

I am wondering if I am simply missing a dependency that allows me to import the album art. I would really like to get this working with Gnome Music if possible because I like how they designed the user interface.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

    Edit: I have libmediaart installed.

  • Hey hello exploder…

You mean missing album art what is not in your music folder?
So you can ad it manually then?

I have in my music folder in the every artist map a folder.jpg (1000x1000) file. (Fanart.tv is a great site for that)
When i ad my library to Gnome-Music it will show the album art then.

  • Hi Michael!

Could you give me a little more detail about this? Do I need to create the folder for album art? You are dead on with what I am trying to do!

  • This is what i did:
I made a folder with artist.
Then in the artist folder the album.
Then in the correct album the songs.

    music>artist>album>musicfiles

    Folder - Tracks [url:3mr5rz5i]https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2qsNn0chPpXcThfV3BIWmlLZEE/edit?usp=sharing[/url:3mr5rz5i]

  • Thanks! That did the trick!
