• Swappiness

I know how to access and edit the swappiness file in Debian.

I checked on the wikifacts regarding Rosetta/Pacman and the terminal line commands that were suggested there do not work on my Antergos distro. I am running Antergos Deepin and I must say that it is a tremenduous OS>

If any anyone could provide the command line structure please …

  • Swappiness works and is set up exactly the same way in Arch, Debian, Fedora, Gentoo, openSUSE, Mageia, other distros. There are no differences.

For example, having enough RAM, you might want to set swappiness to 10:

sudo tee /etc/sysctl.d/10-swappy.conf <<<'vm.swappiness=10' && sudo systemctl reboot

Make sure that the progressive number in the name of the newly created 10-swappy.conf file is higher, than those in other .conf files, which might set swappiness as well.
