I figured it out. I remembered during the session, I was also looking at how to fix the screen rotation for my 2 in 1 laptop (Acer R3). Came across a guide about xorg.conf. I noticed that there wasn’t 1 in /etc/x11 so I created a xorg.conf with a single line from the guide.

After removing this file via the live USB, everything is back to normal, but I am still trying to figure out the auto screen rotation.

    Thanks.

  • xorg.conf is decapriated is more like map xorg.conf.d

    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/xorg#Using_.conf_files

is kinda modular so you can have monitor configuration
