• ZFS installation uses ext4 /boot, impeding recovery via snapshot


    Hi!

    I love the fact that Antergos includes ZFS in the Cnchi installer. However, my ZFS system got borked and I tried to rollback to an earlier snapshot. This unfortunately didn’t work for the /boot partition because it was ext4

  • Other ideas:

    When ZFS installed as boot partition, have alternative /etc/pacman.conf with zfs, spl and linux-kernel-lts added to IgnorePkg by default – also include dkms-sorted by default.

    Install znapzend or zfs-snapshot by default and require /home be separate “partition” (dataset) as per Arch guide explaining how to boot from ZFS snapshots:
