• Trying to setup lamp - Cannot load modules/libphp7.so

    Hey,

I am trying to setup lamp.
    I added

    LoadModule php7_module modules/libphp7.so
    AddHandler php7-script.php

To /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf because arch wiki says to do so.

    When I run

    apachectl configtest

    It fails with

httpd: Syntax error on line 187 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load modules/libphp7.so into server: /etc/httpd/modules/libphp7.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

PHP 7.2.1 is installed, how to get that missing file?

  • php-apache is installed?

  • I dont know how experianced you are but I highly recomend using a LXC or DOCKER for a LAMP setup. You can setup an Ubuntu system and use tasksel to install a LAMP server and experiment without comprimizing your main system. LAMP requires “a lot” of packages / services and will drain laptop battery / slow systems.

With a container you can turn the whole system on and off on demand and destroy it without leaving half your system modified…

You can read about lxc and how to get going here:
    https://anotherlinux.com/index.php/2017/06/18/getting-lxc-in-arch-antergos-basic-use-tips/

I have also updated the arch wiki for bridging on wifi:

  • @izznogooood user @RandomDude do not say something about what he want to do, may some studies?

@RandomDude seem to want php running on a server? (may really need apache server for this?)

questions on questions against the the questioner ;)

but wait! may he is only one of this random dudes?
