• Oracle VirtualBox error "run vboxconfig"

After installing Oracle VirtualBox aka vbox, I created a new VM and when I attempt to start it, says:

    run “sbin/vboxconfig”

But this program does not exist. The correct one is:

    -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1187 Dec 19 21:30 vboxreload

So, on a terminal session execute this one as root, follow this:

    • search for “term”, open terminal
    • sudo su
    • enter password
    • type: “/sbin/vboxreload”

    This is the result:

    [[email protected] sbin]# vboxreload
    Unloading modules:
Loading modules: vboxnetadp vboxnetflt vboxpci vboxdrv
    [[email protected] sbin]#

I think that this could be avoid if I restarted Antergos.

    Hope it helps.

Nice find! I’ve encountered this sometimes, but always just rebooted.
Strange that Oracle has not fixed that message though.

    System info commands:
    lsblk -fm
    lspci
    sudo blkid
    sudo fdisk -l
