  • Hi,

It’s happened to me, too. No idea why. I’m using chromium atm.

What do you get if you run firefox from the terminal? When it crashes it should give you some information.

I am wondering, it don’t crash at the moment… maybe I had to less RAM… don’t know

I will see, if it’s crashes again, I will start it from terminal and look there for informations…

  • My firefox has crashed today again like yesterday: it has closed himself…
Here is my Firefox information in terminal after crash:

    [freecaster @ freecaster ~] $ firefox

    (process: 1985): GLib-CRITICAL \*\*: g\_slice\_set\_config: assertion 'sys\_page\_size == 0' failed
    libva info: VA-API version 0.35.1
    libva info: va\_getDriverName () returns 0
libva info: Trying to open / usr / lib / dri / nouveau\_drv\_video.so
    libva info: va\_openDriver () returns -1
    (Written dump) memory access error
    [freecaster @ freecaster ~] $

It seems, there is something unstable…

  • Hi,

This appears to be an active bug in firefox. Some users have reported that uninstalling “gst-vaapi” helps:

    sudo pacman -R gst-vaapi

Thank you, my Firefox is now more stable.

But now I think about Skype: it’s closing himself without my will, too
