Currently, I have my settings set to just turn the screen off when I close my screen lid for all power options.
With that said, I’ve noticed that if I attempt to shut down my laptop, then close the lid, it will pause the shutdown process until I open the screen again. Once I open it, it will call the shutdown command, then shutdown properly.
The expected behaviour is that shutting down will carry through, regardless of what I do to the screen lid.
Another issue is that if I’m using a monitor and have my laptop’s lid close, shutting down works just fine. If I was connected to a charger, called for a shutdown, then unplugged the charger, it too will halt the shutdown process.
Is there any fix for this?
