• How to convert cnchi from git project to zip.

I am working to build antergos ISO for new cnchi function.

I can build ISO file from antergos-iso git project.

then I see that build.sh script using the https://github.com/Antergos/Cnchi/archive/${CNCHI_GIT_BRANCH}.zip.

but I don’t know yet how to convert https://github.com/Antergos/Cnchi.git to https://github.com/Antergos/Cnchi/archive/${CNCHI_GIT_BRANCH}.zip.

    Please help me.

  • Hi there😀. If you look at their github project, you will see that they have 60 releases out. Just click on that and download the latest one. I will be in .zip format for you. If you wish to make your own release to do this with, just go to “releases” and click the top right button titled “Draft a Release”. This will then allow you to make your own.

Hope this helps and good luck!

  • Hey again! If you are looking to make a new Cnchi function, then you will have to edit a handful of files. Namely, packages.xml, features_info.py, and desktop_info.py. Packages.xml contains all the programs Cnchi can possibly download (which are limited to only repositories and cannot installl things from the AUR). Features_info.py uses your feature packages from packages.xml and gives each a description and an icon (the icon comes from your set theme in your ISO and not Cnchi itself). Lastly, the most important file may be desktop_info.py as it lists al of the features to include by name. So basically, just add your feature name from packages.xml here too. After this, you should be good to go😀.

Hope this helps and good luck!
