• How to change a font on desktop in the gnome?

Hi all. How to change a font size on desktop in the gnome? I mean conf file, not through gnome-tweak-tool.

  • Edit the gnome-shell.css file.

It is found in the gnome-shell subfolder of a gtk3 theme you’re using for Gnome 3 Shell.

  • Standard Numix-Frost, which file do u mean?

  • The gnome-shell.css file in the gnome-shell subfolder in the Numix-Frost theme’s main folder. The same as above.

  • @just said in How to change a font on desktop in the gnome?:

    gnome-shell.css

    cp -R /usr/share/themes/Numix-Frost ~/.themes
    nano ~/.themes/Numix-Frost/gnome-shell/gnome-shell.css

may you need to create mkdir ~/.themes first

If you do so you can change a local copy of the theme and it will stay also after update of the theme, and extra you do not change it systemwide

[updates once a week] = [90% less problems]
    my#repo

I know about gnome-shell.css, the is too many parameters. Question is, which one exactly parameter in css file))

  • Font size in CSS is changed by changing the font-size property’s value inside various selectors declarations. Selectors define various theme’s elements.
