    DRI_PRIME=1

this prefix let the program startup with the discrete card (better say it should)

If it does and it looks perfectly, it does not lag, the game is good, it happens that I do not play :(

So everything is meaning that the discrete card or amdgpu or radeon works and from what I see, it can be used without problems, let’s say so …

    Pardon my ignorance

me too :( (i hate games)

It is the behavior that without any special configuration or script intel is used by default, and the AMD-GPU only if you are force it…

  • @joekamprad said in AMD Graphics Card Problems:

and the AMD-GPU only if you are force it…

Sure, now I understood it, being the discrete graphic, there to launch the program or the application, directly forced and not with a script like the default Intel!

    Thank you.-

I’ve tried running this game twice, once while forcing the Discrete GPU and once while not. I honestly couldn’t tell a difference between the two. I don’t know if that means it’s always working or it’s never working…

Is there any benchmarking software that you can recommend that I can try and I can run and report my result and tell me which GPU it’s running off of (if that’s possible)

The 2 work and load before login.
But it happens that they work one by one, according to how you call them by console, but the bridge between the 2 is always.(I just understand …)

I do not notice any difference executing the game as much with the discrete as with the default, but as I read, to really notice difference, there to start from the bios with one and only one and change files and others … very tedious and unnecessary, at least for now …

I do not know, although this may serve:
    https://hastebin.com/apicoyuqus.py default Intel
    https://hastebin.com/ritelocixu.py discrete amdgpu o amd/radeon

  • @mattrbrousseau as your output of lspci -k | grep -A5 -i vga is still not showing your amd card, it looks like the behavior is slightly different to @judd ones?
But ma yyou get another output while DRI_PRIME=1 /usr/bin/warzone2100is running?

  • @joekamprad

Would you be so kind to see my pastas from my previous response to yours ?

So amd has no inified memory but less memory ? 🏓

Exactly, there is the effective test, as I thought, the discrete is discrete in itself, less memory !!!

    Perfect conclusion !!!

    :(

  • Could it be that I do not have multilib enabled ?

  • I have it enabled and it is working…

    Ok, it works ;)

    I already pass the results
