Oh ha! may we need another DM then?

  • @joekamprad you think the issue might be the DM?

I’m running GDM right now as I was running into a lot of bugs with lightdm, would that affect anything?

  • @mattrbrousseau said in AMD Graphics Card Problems:

Unknown AMD Radeon GPU @ pci:0000:01:00.0

name = Unknown AMD Radeon GPU @ pci:0000:01:00.0 and not radeon or amdgpu!

    So:

xrandr --setprovideroffloadsink "Unknown AMD Radeon GPU @ pci:0000:01:00.0" Intel

    running GDM right now

    Would be o.k.

the exits of the log-journal .txt are from @mattrbrousseau not Dell’s own, that’s how it’s clear.

  • I was thinking about Antergos-Prime as there is a package now, and prime is working for nvidia and amd gpus… so may we can make us eof this too, but i am not sure… https://forum.antergos.com/topic/7961/antergosprime-brings-optimus-prime-functionality-to-antergos

  • @joekamprad I see how Antergos-Prime works for nvidia but do you know how to make it work with AMD as well?

  • @mattrbrousseau Prime itself is working with both combinations intel/nvidia intel/amd, so it should work… but depending on how this package is configured… may they need to add it first…

    Read here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PRIME

Totally YES (I did not know that, now that I see it and investigate it a bit (I’m working now) it’s great) ;)
