New install of Antergos with Gnome on Dell XPS 15 (9560). Problem: almost every time I suspend the computer it crashes and reboots when I try to wake it. Just realised that it is doing this in the dual booted Windows 10 as well, have not tested how extensively there.
I’m hoping someone here has more Antergos specific advice or recent experience than I can find. The arch wiki entry https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Dell_XPS_15_9560 doesn’t seem to help, nor can I find anything in the main arch forums thread https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=223056&p=13. This issue does seem to be a known issue with this model (and earlier ones) but I’m not clear from what I read on what the solution is.
I have already blacklisted nouveau (had to do so to get installer to even boot), and added the acpi_rev_override=1 option to the kernel parameters (which appears to be working, because removing it causes boot to fail).
I tried to upload the logs suggested in sticky but got a `you don’t have enough permissions’ message, happy to attach them if needed and you can tell me how.
Any help would be very much appreciated. I don’t want to give up Antergos but if I can’t get this issue sorted I might have to see if some other distros have better support for this hardware.
Thanks very much in advance.
