  • thanks a lot for this.

  • Jan de Groot has written in the bug tracker talking about this bug. This seems to be a user error, not something about the package. The problem is that all of us with this problem have symlinked “/usr/share/icons/Adwaita” to “/usr/share/icons/default”. The new libxcursor place a index.theme file in “/usr/share/icons/default”, which in this case is adawita folder, referencing itself.

To solve the problem first you need to unlink that folder with “unlink /usr/share/icons/default”. Then you can install the new libxcursor and everything will be fine.

  • so what exactly is the solution? #unlink /usr/share/icons/default

    Best Regards,

  • May not be a package fault, but I don’t think it’s a users fault neither. I installed Antergos a bit more than a week ago and I’m absolutely certain I did not consciously do the symlink. Must come from another some other package …

Dell Latitude E6230 with Intel i7, 8GB RAM, 500 GB SSD
dual boot: Antergos and Debian Stretch both 64bit and running gnome-shell
surviving in a Windows world with VMware WS and Codeweavers Crossover

  • I’m 91% sure its of our doing

    Best Regards,
    Dustin

  • No worries lots.oflogs , I ignore the package on the 2 systems I have running Antergos. I look forward for the announcement.

Thanks and keep up the great work.

  • Thanks for the info!

    downgrading did the trick

It’s a good thing you are only 91% sure. Had you been 92% sure, I would likely have hauled off and given you a really stern look.

  • Hi yesterday read about removing the icon folder but with unlinking works, confirmed and running
