• Can Not Scan With canon mp-250 please help


    Hello antergos comminity i have a canon mp-250 and i can print no problem on it but i can not scan with simple scan and in the simple scan preferences there is no mp-250 and i can not acess cups on localhost:631 but i can change setting on the gui

    wich GUI?

    take a look around:

    systemctl status org.cups.cupsd.service
    

    and for scanning:

    scanimage -L
    

    (needs sane to be installed)

    But may you are missing driver: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/cnijfilter-mp250/

  • scanner should run without cups,if it is connected directly with usb…

    scanimage -L must give you the scanner as a device (and yes camera too)
