• Teamviewer not working

    Hello,

After updating Teamviewer is not working in Antergos.
    Any idea?

  • Read where it comes from: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/teamviewer

    gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys C1A60EACE707FDA5

    (for ttfautohint package dependency)

    yaourt -S teamviewer

    sudo pacman -U https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/l/lib32-freetype2/lib32-freetype2-2.8-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

    OR:

    sudo downgrade lib32-freetype2

    (if downgrade installed)
Then add to pacman ignore pkg list in your preferred way.

    sudo systemctl start teamviewerd.service
    sudo systemctl enable teamviewerd.service

    Now you can run teamviewer

  • @joekamprad said in Teamviewer not working:

    sudo systemctl start teamviewerd.service

Its working but we must not update freetype package is that right?
For how long?! When i run sudo pacman -U https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/l/lib32-freetype2/lib32-freetype2-2.8-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz it came a notify that says i have an update!!!
We have to exclude this update so teamviewer can run? And for how long?

  • i am the wrong person to ask, i am only a moderator here at the forum, AUR packages are maintained by users to share them to the community, this is not an official package. So all information on this is on the AUR page:

    https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/teamviewer

  • Yes i know! The question was a general thought !!
