• Unable to Boot UUID device not found


    Hello

    I have a problem booting my antergos after installing and removing windows on another partition (which I deleted now) I get :

    ERROR resume: hibernation device UUID … not found

    I booted into a live cd and did the following attempts:

    • Checked fstab and grub.cfg they have the same UUIDs
    • Commented my swap partition in fstab
    • Reinstalled grub
    • Followed every step in [antergos how-to-fix-grub-with-bios-boot] I get : WARNING: Failed to connect to lvmetad. Falling back to device scanning. with os-prober and grub-mkconfig
    • Verified devices UUID with blkid AGAIN they are the same

    After commenting the swap partition in fstab and commenting the resume part in the grub.cfg
    the error changed to device not found

    Are you sure that UUID correspond to your root partition (and is it bootable)?
    Would you mind to mind to take a screenshot using gparted showing your partitions?
    Also in gparted you can click “information” and check if the uuid is right.

    As always in Linux, the same result may be obtained in many different ways. To get UUIDs of all partitions it is also possible to use the command:

    ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid/ | sort --key 11 | cut -c40-
