• Issue Turning off Wifi

I’m having a weird bug with fresh installs of antergos.

Whenever I try to turn off the wifi, it freezes the wifi menu in settings and I can’t turn it off properly. It also slows me down and slows down opening chromium as well.

The full steps to reproduce after logging in are:

    • Turn on Wifi
    • Connect to a network
    • Try to turn off wifi

And that’s where I run into issues. After this, even turning off the laptop runs into issues and halts at the end, never actually turning off. I’m using a Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM with a completely fresh install.

This is a common issue. I’m sure that there’s some text in the shutdown process saying something like “stop job…” or similar with little red dots. As far as the wifi issue goes, however, I have never heard of this happening before. Do you have to turn off the wifi or does airplane mode work?
