  • acpi-errors are mostly not harming your system… so what is your problem here?

  • everything is working great, but problem is of “estetic nature”… this is my wife’s laptop and this error message occures before login sreen and stays for couple of seconds… can this be “hidden” somehow?

  • @mile-lile said in ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed [\_PR.CPU0._PDC]:

    problem is of “estetic nature”

    You can ignore it without any problem, ignore it

    These are mine and I have no problem with them …

  • ok. Does anyone know how to silence this “not harmfull” message? I tried editing grub and adding

    acpi=off

    (found that on google) but no go. Any ideas?

  • loglevel=3 can help, i just found it but not try jet;)

  • Thx @joekamprad
    That did the trick. So, for future users with same problem do this:

    from CLI run:

    sudo nano /etc/default/grub

    then edit this line to look like:

    GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet loglevel=3"

    hold Ctrl+O then enter to write changes and Ctrl+X to exit… Remember that grub.cfg has to be re-generated after any change to /etc/default/grub so issue as a sudoer directive

    sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

    restart :)
