• USB Wi-Fi Adapter stop working downloading large files

    Hello everyone,

I have this wi-fi adapter TP-Link TN-WN722N. When I start to downloading large files my device loses connection and also it shows this error “ping: sendmsg: No buffer space available”.

Disconnect and connect again it is the only way to fix it temporarily. Could you help me?

As i can see here: https://michaelheap.com/tp-link-tl-wn823n-on-arch-linux/
it seems you will need to get the right drivers for your Wifi Cipset…
If you have the same… rtl8192eu

    What gives you:

    lsusb > log.txt && dmesg >> log.txt && cat log.txt | curl -F [email protected] https://ptpb.pw/?u=1

  • systemctl list-units | grep failed

to see if you get some failed services

  • @joekamprad It shows empty.

Maybe it’s a problem related to kernel version?
    https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=193439

    [[email protected] ~]$ uname -r
    4.12.6-1-ARCH

  • Could be kernel related, you can try lts kernel.
There are kernel traces related to wifi as i can see

  • @joekamprad I just to install lts kernel following these steps and kernel version didn’t change.

    sudo pacman -S linux-lts
    sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
    reboot

    [[email protected] ~]$ sudo pacman -S linux-lts

    [[email protected] ~]$ uname -r

  • You need to go to advanced option inside grub menu in boot and choose LTS kernel then.

  • @joekamprad It seems working better with this kernel (it reconnects automatically):

Can I set this kernel as default in grub?

  • If you want to hold both kernels:
    https://antergos.com/wiki/install/how-to-make-grub-boot-different-kernels-by-default/
If you do not mind about the Main Kernel just uninstall it, and the LTS Kernel will boot default.
