  • Maybe force DRI 2 instead of using DRI 3?

  • May you can change inside settings of the player (parole vlc) you want to use to X11 or the other options…

  • @joekamprad Parole was already using X11, in the VLC front, I installed Qt4 but it’s very buggy

  • Do you try both options aviable inside parole?
    X11 and X without xv

    There is also guis for mplayer like gnome-mplayer and smplayer

  • @joekamprad Yes. the same result with both

  • I already tried setting DRI 2 but I couldn’t get to the log screen with DRI 2

  • For anyone reading this post, I’m using SMPlayer instead of Parole. Parole still doesn’t work.

  • You can try to add a new user and see if you get the same problem with it, to see if this is caused by some configiguration error.
