• An improved GNOME desktop setup

Wanting to solve my own desktop issues and from my friends, I came up with a much improved GNOME desktop setup.

The looks and feel is based in the one from Antergos, but provides even better usability.

I thought that perhaps some people would like to see it.

  • Nice one! It looks so Antergos-y too😄

Really? That sounds intriguing. What does it entail? Thanks!

That the interface is both easy to newbies, and powerful on performing advanced tasks. Like for example managing a lot of windows and switching among them.

I have explained everything on the above link.

  • Sorry. I should have asked: what modifications did you make to Gnome? Such as the extensions used, themes used, etc.

    Thanks!

  • Maybe it’s me, but I don’t see much difference between the regular Gnome set up and yours. To be fair, I think it’s aimed at Manjaro Gnome users and I don’t know how Manjaro Gnome looks like.😉

It’s all in the install script, in the package. I don’t remember, there were many.

Ah… I missed that one the first time I checked out your link😄.

    Thanks!

    Thank you!

  • @es20490446e out of curiosity, and i try but can not find this option “change apps with slide over the dock!”
is this an option aviable inside dash-to-dock or gnome-shell-extension-activities-config ?

“change apps with slide over the dock!”

    What does that option do?

  • I saw this inside your video, when you put your cursor on the icons from the dock this window comes in the foreground.

    When clicking or without clicking?

  • I saw this inside your video…

So you should know? It looks like only a mouseover, without clicking

  • In fact I was looking how to disable that, but I didn’t know how to.
