• Disappearance of mouse during shutdown and graphics problems

Hello everyone, I just installed the latest version of Antergos on my laptop and I encounter some problems. Indeed when I want to stop my computer and I press the icon, the cursor of my mouse disappears and so I can do nothing, to stop it I disconnect the battery …
When I want to lower the brightness to a minimum, my screen becomes absolutely black.
So I suspect it’s a graphic compatibility issue. When I install Bumblebee I can not restart my computer and I have to restart the installation …

An idea to solve these problems?

Thank you for your future answers!

  • @joekamprad indeed I followed this guide and when I restart my computer I have a black screen and I can not restart!

After this step: “sudo shutdown -r now”

    Command line result: https://ptpb.pw/e-qw

  • So at the moment you are without nvidia drivers, i was reading a lot of users have issues with your card on nouveau, and the only working solution is bumblebee with nvidia drivers.

  • @joekamprad So you’d better follow the guide to install the NVIDIA and Bumblebee drivers …

  • Nouveau video driver causes many troubles on NVIDIA Optimus cards. Unbootable system, crashes during boot, a system that boots into unresponsive black screen with a white text cursor blinking in the top left corner, Cnchi and LiveDE freezes are only few of Nouveau effects.

Is also what the Antergos-Wiki say…
As far as i know the only other way is to fully disable the Nvidia, and use only Intel graphics.

For this you will need to blacklist nouveau and uninstall the extra driver.
