    Thanks🙂 (Look at info. below)
.-.-.-.-.-.-.–.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-. I know @joekamprad and @iSpeakVeryWell have both suggested that there be a category on the Forum to introduce yourself as a new user. The discussion is carried out in more detail here. I was wondering if this could be implemented? Not as a mandatory thing, but as an option. I would be more than willing to keep tabs on it and answer / welcome those who introduce themselves there. As it is now, those sorts of posts lack a designated place here. As such, they can currently be found scattered throughout the Forum in various categories. If we made this change though, they could all be found in one place and new users would be more encouraged to post something there.

So what are you’re thoughts on this?

Thank you for voting! Please explain your reasoning below.

  • Just voted Yes!
It’s a great idea!! Such a category will underline the friendly vibe of the Antergos community. It will be more welcoming to new users and it kind of helps to get rid of the feeling to ask a “dumb” question a lot of people have, who are first timers on an Arch based distro.

Everybody is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing its stupid.

  • Thanks for your opinion, @bpoerwo! I agree!

  • Yes i like the idea to have this category!

As @bpoerwo say: “underline the friendly vibe of the Antergos community” !
And also a good start to clear how the forum works, and a reason to join the forum without having a problem in the first place, only to say: “hello here i am! a new happy user of Antergos!”

  • Voted yes but I don’t think I would post there. Already have few awesome people who I like to talk to here: @Keegan @joekamprad @iSpeakVeryWell and @karasu ^_^

I don’t need to know more people haha!

  • Thank you for such a high compliment!

  • I’d love something like this. I’ve been a part of a lot of different Linux communities (Ubuntu, Fedora, Mint, and now Arch) and Arch/Antergos is definitely the best I’ve seen. This is a really big reason why I ended up switching to Antergos in the first place, and I love the idea of an even tighter community.

  • So far, it looks unanimous. I’m used to seeing such a category (or something along those lines) in other distros I’ve tried, and while I know Antergos is not like other distributions 🙂 , I think it would be a useful addition.

  • If a may, nobody would say no to a “welcome” or "Say hello" or whatever else might be called.
Maybe there should have already been there, years ago.
