• Tried MATE, now I'd like to delete, but HOW?!

    Hi all;

    i’ve tried MATE next to XFCE, but it doesn’t work for me, too much of a GNOME environment, not my cup of tea, so to speak… I’ve tried to uninstall through PacmanXG, but there seem to be a lot of app’s depending on MATE already, sadly… :-/

    Is there a (terminal command?) way to[i:2zo0ngc0][b:2zo0ngc0] force [/b:2zo0ngc0][/i:2zo0ngc0]an uninstall, and regain HDD-space on my 16Gb USB-key?

    TIA!

    Thanks karasu, so should I first uninstall these packages before I’m able to uninstall MATE itself?

    Regards, Ruud

  • remove all those listed and mate will be gone

  • You could just do this:

    sudo pacman -Rc mate

    Cheers!

    YES!!! That’s the one, thanks lots.0.logs!
    That frees 191Mb’s on my USB-key, I like it small…
    Thanks also to maxpro4u and karasu for replying!
