• Cnchi hangs on 'installing bootloader'

I have installed antergos on this machine and disk many times but in the latest version of Cnchi (0.14.289), it seems to just hang on ‘installing bootloader’ for about 10 minutes and then complain that grub wasn’t installed properly. It does this both with a full disk install and a manual install. What gives? Please help.

  • I can confirm this Issue here, trying to install to disk with llvm. Cnchi v0.14.293 hangs on “Installing grub…”

  • same here installing (installing without llvm works)

  • yes i can confirm installing works, without lvm choosen!

  • For me it does not work even if I leave lvm unchecked. The whole system freezes at installing bootloader.

  • This sounds like something the @developers might know something about…

Keep trying, never give up. In the end, you will find that it was all worth it

  • This seems to be a bug with os-prober and grub.
Sometimes it takes very long (depending on amount of other OS and harddrives) but do the job in the end, and sometimes it do not work. But you can allways try again by chrooting after reboot. To Liveiso. I get it doing his job by simple retry it.
