• Gnome Shell→"Setings"→"Region and Language"→"Formats"

What is done: language and input sources
    What’s outstanding: formats
Reason: command “sudo gedit /etc/locale.gen” returns “cannot display”.
    Question is:

    • is there a turnaround? e.g. via inputing the codes in file locale.conf?
    • where to get a list of codes for language/formats

Thanks for the attention, your help is appreciated.
