• Error message on boot

I am Antergos KDE user. After the last update (i think) i get the following error message on boot. I dont have a problem so far in using Antergos, but i dont know what is this and if its a big problem. I am total newbie and forget my bad english

  • Hi, I think you have 2 errors - the first one seems to be related to efi, I believe you need to edit /etc/default/grub and in the kernel line (says something like GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet", you need to add add_efi_memmap
    Then you need to run

    grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Now for the second error, I believe you need to update the firmware for your BIOS. Does the machine still boot?

  • @martynjlewis79 said in Error message on boot:

    add_efi_memmap

So far it works just fine. I think i am let it go. “If aint broke, dont fix it”
