• \[SOLVED\] Tools for opening UPNP ports?

Actually, I’m looking for tools for opening ports (port mapping) in my UPNP-capable router.
Actually, I used UPNP PortMapper but stopped working some time ago…
Now I was trying with miniupnpc but I’ve some problems.

Actually, the command below should show the UPNP router.

    [[email protected]\_E1-570G ency]\# upnpc -s
upnpc : miniupnpc library test client. (c) 2005-2014 Thomas Bernard
    Go to http://miniupnp.free.fr/ or http://miniupnp.tuxfamily.org/
    for more information.
No IGD UPnP Device found on the network !
    [[email protected]\_E1-570G ency]\#

The strange fact is that it Transmission opened (yep, some time ago) ports with no problem using UPNP…
How could I get this working?

  • Does MediaTomb work for you?

ARe you looking to stream media? If so, that is what MediaTomb is for. Not too sure if that is also capable for your UPNP - capable router.

Also, from what I was reading on the Arch forums, Arch and possibly Antergos, since it’s an Arch derivative, has it’s ports closed by default.

Also, and I know this sounds elementary, but did you check to make sure that UPNP ports are enabled on your UPNP router? Sorry. I know it’s an obvious thing but sometimes it’s the obvious that can hinder.

Finally, there is also, Ushare, also on the Arch Wiki.

  • I’ve disabled UFW that was blocking SSPD requests.
I had to set the interface command in order to get the scan working.

  • Had to set as good IPs the ones in my local network, now works fine.
    Problem solved!
