• numix-icon-theme - signature ... is unknown trust

@just 's solution of totally deleting and reinstalling keyrings worked for me!

  • I had the same issue and solved it by:

    1. Updating every packages except numix-icon-theme and pamac (which were the two failing for me). I did this through the update manager but I have seen that the command should be sudo pacman -Syu --ignore numix-icon-theme,pamac
    2. Then I updated the keys with sudo pacman-key --refresh-keys

It is now working fine !

  • This is now affecting me as well and nothing so far has worked.

    Issue:

error: antergos-keyring: signature from "Antergos Build Server (Automated Package Build System) <[email protected]>" is unknown trust
:: File /var/cache/pacman/pkg/antergos-keyring-20170524-1-any.pkg.tar.xz is corrupted (invalid or corrupted package (PGP signature)).

…seen the same thing with @just’s instructions on 2nd to last step of reinstalling the keys.

    sudo pacman-key --refresh-keys produces:

gpg: keyserver refresh failed: Address family not supported by protocol
==> ERROR: A specified local key could not be updated from a keyserver.

Modifying /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/gpg.conf to use http:// instead of hkp:// doesn’t seem to affect anything.

Importing the 24B445614FAC071891EDCE49CDBD406AA1AA7A1D manually seems to import fine, but listing the keys again still shows an expired Antergos Build Server key.

    Help?
edit: it’s working now, see below.

  • Ok nevermind apparently sudo pacman-key --refresh-keys decided to spontaneously work😐

  • Antergos-keyring package was updated this morning, try to update it guys and it should work fine :)

  • @just Thanks!

This solved the problem for me!

  • Guys, sudo pacman-key --refresh-keys is @alanaktion’s idea, not mine. All credits should go to him.

  • @just said in numix-icon-theme - signature ... is unknown trust:

    sudo pacman-key --refresh-keys

In may case, just that solved the problem.
So I thank @alanaktion, and you of course.
    Grazie ;)

  • My working solution is:

    1. Open /etc/pacman.conf
    2. Set SigLevel = Never for Antergos repository
    3. Run sudo pacman -Sy antergos-keyring
    4. Restore previous value of SigLevel
    5. Run sudo pacman -Syu
  • Thanx a lot @tomek2102 u save me. Dzięki 😄

Do you want to delete it? [Y/n]

I had to pacman-key --refresh-keys to get this to install.

  • This worked for me!!! Thanx!!!

  • Did delete cache of pacman (yaourt), refresh keys - worked

  • @just’s 8-line black magic from yesterday has resolved my problem.

… Either that or the key updates overnight…
Sorry for the delay - I have been at work and stuff.

Yes, all’s well that ends well… Returning to our normal programming…

P.S. - This is going to sound like a grumpy comment, but it’s more meant to be stating fact - This is the stuff that makes so many people run a mile from Linux. Just sayin’…

Great support here, but most ‘normal’ people wouldn’t have known how to even describe the problem…

  • @spechter i guess that is why Arch is not meant for beginners or first time convertants.
First thing I thought was my cache is corrupted - second thing my keys are bad.

If you don’t want that inconvenience => Debian. Had it running for three years straight with no single downtime or failure (2011-2014 Homeserver) and since 2010 in production for a 10.000+ user per day machine.

This issue seems to affect others as well.

  • I have a similar problem and read all this thread looking for an answer…

    sudo pacman -Sy antergos-keyring

    Fails with

error: antergos-keyring: signature from "Antergos Build Server (Automated Package Build System) <[email protected]>" is marginal trust
:: File /var/cache/pacman/pkg/antergos-keyring-20170524-1-any.pkg.tar.xz is corrupted (invalid or corrupted package (PGP signature)).

    And

     sudo pacman-key --refresh-keys

    Fails with

even after the whole rm -R /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/ && pacman-key --init && pacman-key --populate archlinux antergos

    Any idea?
