• Some problems on antergos with MATE

How far is the solution of my problem?

  • hi all,

I’ve installed Mate next to XFCE on Antergos (Arch), how do I boot up with MATE?

  • Hi,

@RuudKuin: You should start another thread with your question, as it’s unrelated to this thread.

    Anyway, I’ll answer you here

I suppose you are using lightdm (the default login manager that comes with Antergos)

You have to edit the file /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf (with sudo privileges)

    Then, search for

    user-session=xfce

    and change it to:

    user-session=mate

    Cheers!

Apologies karasu, just the fact that MATE was discussed here, made me think people could help me… So you did, thanks!

    Thanks man!
Great to see someone helping me … although it still runs XFCE after reboot.
Guess I’m not following your advise the right way.

I’ll wait for Dustin Falgout to publish v2.0 of lightdm.
