• Cinnarch name still in some places


    First and foremost the GRUB - It still shows up as “Cinnarch” and “Cinnarch - Fallback” in GRUB when I boot my system

    Secondly - I formatted a corrupted USB drive that I have, using gparted, and it labeled it as “CINNARCH_201301”

    How can I change this?

  • The first one edit /boot/grub/grub.cfg

    And the second one, gparted let’s you change the label when creating partitions, so just remove your current partition, create a new one and set you desired label

  • Thanks, but why did It label “CINNARCH_201301” by default?

  • when you use dd to copy the iso to your usb it sets the iso name as label
