• Freeze during boot: Failed to start Load Kernel Module

    Hi all,
I hope one of you can help me out. I just updated antergos and it does not want to boot anymore… I hope this is not a double posting, but as far as I understood people with this error were still able to boot.
I attach the output during the boot. After this screen it goes black and says ‘started CUPS scheduler’…

  • @ruwn This error maybe something else, i’m guessing you display manager is failling to load.
I’m a little lazy now, i’d recommend you to:
when you get to that screen, press Ctrl+Alt+F2
    enter your username and password
    type :
    sudo pacman -S sddm
    sudo systemctl disable lightdm
    sudo systemctl enable sddm
    reboot

    I’m cosidering you’re using ligtdm…

    Cheers!
